This is what happens when you invest in the future of our children
Here are 5 students from Odisha who are selected for the NASA Human Exploration Challenge 2023 by Young Tinker Foundation, Bhubaneswar. The selected students will design and manufacture a rover vehicle that will be human-powered, driven by a girl and a boy. Once done with the project, the team will travel to Alabama, USA for the coveted competition. We are glad to inform you that Omm (first from left) & Akankhya (second from right) from Adruta are part of that selected team.

Saishupath Celebrating Raja Sankranti 2022 at two locations
14 June 2022
Our biggest solo event to date. Saishupath sponsored an entire four-day Raja festival at the Adruta children home which included decorations, balloons, traditional swings, a supersized inflatable bounce house for the younger kids, and a holiday gift of a brand new, much needed commercial water cooler/filter combo to accommodate the daily needs of one hundred children plus staff. Sanjana and the entire SWA Team India family turned out for the event, including her father who never misses a trip to help at Adruta. After a private ribbon cutting, they were eventually enveloped by hundreds of event visitors and the local media.
But it doesn’t end there, our Director of India Operations was personally invited to attend another festival event with Teasana, so she left Adruta early so she can represent Saishupath at the Grand Raja Paraba 2022. SWA Team India has been moving like an out-of-control freight train since April with no end in sight. Thank you Sanjana, thank you Arabinda, thank you Bijukta, thank you Sekhar, Thank you SWA Team India!

Saishupath invited to the first Rainbow Pride Walk in Puri, Odisha
25 June 2022
SAATHII and Puri Zilla Kinner Sangha requested our presence to walk with them in solidarity and support for the inclusion of LGBTIQA+ communities in healthcare, legal services, education, social protection, employment, and livelihood opportunities.
This year, community collectives from Angul, Balangir, Bhadrak, Puri, Rayagada, and Rourkela, along with SAATHII are celebrating Pride Walks with a special focus on districts beyond the headquarters, to celebrate the diverse gender and sexualities with the community groups from the grassroots so that that Puri district could witness its: first-ever Pride Walk this year.

Sanjana seems a bit overwhelmed by the amount of people trying to get through volunteers to take pictures and get selfies during the start of Pride Walk. Meera seems quite comfortable.

Bollywood has announced the making of the film Meera Maa Impossible Journey
The film will revolve around the life of Meera Parida, a transgender activist who is also one of India’s first transgender politicians. Meera has been very vocal about her opinions and extended her support to all those who are in need.
Meera can be seen below with Sanjana during the opening of our sponsored Man of the Series cricket event.

Covid Community Outreach
Saishupath SWA Team India met with the members of nearby
communities and delivered personal protective equipment to those in need during Covid.
